This role ensures the organization's financial reporting and operations are compliant with accounting standards, legal requirements, and corporate policies. The Global Controller will lead the accounting team in producing accurate and timely financial statements, managing internal controls, overseeing audits, ensuring tax compliance and driving process improvements across all accounting operations. The Global Controller will also collaborate closely with senior leadership to align finance function goals and outcomes with strategic business objectives. While PharmaLogic is a private equity-backed company that is not subject to public company requirements, experience with public company reporting, disclosure, internal control and legal requirements is highly valued as the company continues to scale.<br/><br/>This is a "work from home" position; the entire accounting function operates remotely with the majority of company interactions relevant to this role occurring on East Coast Time.<br/><br/><strong>Job Responsibilities and Duties:</strong><br/><br/><strong>People</strong><br/>• Lead, mentor, and develop the U.S. accounting team, ~20+ direct and indirect reports, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and collaboration. Experience in life science (e.g., biopharma, tools, diagnostics), pharma services (e.g., CRO, CDMO), healthcare services and/or manufacturing industry environments is strongly preferred.<br/>• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams.<br/>• Proven track record of managing global financial operations, including consolidations, financial reporting, and compliance.<br/>• Expertise in financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, and accounting processes. Public company experience highly desirable, as is experience in designing, implementing and executing internal controls under a SOX framework.<br/>• In-depth knowledge of relevant accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP) and financial regulations.<br/>• Advanced knowledge of financial systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Coupa, ADP, FloQast, PowerBI, etc.).<br/>• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Extraordinary attention to detail and organizational skills. Intellectually curious and committed to continuous learning.
