Responsibilities
- Manage and execute UK and EMEA tax compliance and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate filings across multiple jurisdictions
- Oversee direct and indirect taxes across the region, including UK corporate income tax, PAYE, withholding taxes, VAT, and other EMEA-specific levies.
- Coordinate preparation and review of local tax returns, statutory accounts, and tax calculations, working closely with external advisors where required.
- Support the income tax provision process for UK and EMEA entities, including data collection, analysis, and reconciliation under IFRS (IAS 12).
- Act as a key point of contact for EMEA tax audits, inspections, and inquiries, liaising with local tax authorities and external advisors.
- Monitor and interpret changes in UK and EMEA tax legislation, assessing impact and proactively advising the business on risks and opportunities.
- Support transfer pricing and intercompany matters across EMEA, including documentation and alignment with group tax policy.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, People, and Operations teams to provide practical tax guidance on regional business activities and cross-border transactions.
- Help standardize and improve tax processes, controls, and documentation across EMEA to support scale and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; tax focus preferred.
- ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in UK and/or EMEA corporate tax, in public accounting, industry, or a combination of both.
- Strong experience with UK corporate tax and VAT; broader EMEA exposure highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of IFRS / IAS 12; US GAAP exposure a plus.
- Familiarity with tax audits, transfer pricing concepts, and intercompany structures in a multinational environment.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple jurisdictions and deadlines.
- Ability to communicate tax concepts clearly to non-tax stakeholders.
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with ERP and tax compliance tools is a plus.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Collaborative, proactive team player comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, international environment.
