By joining this team, youll be part of an organization that drives technology leadership and supports Intels broader mission to create world-changing innovation.<br /><br />Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Define and document end-to-end architecture specifications, ensuring modularity, scalability, and compatibility with hardware and software requirements.</li><li>Explore and develop new architectural approaches, novel features, and inventive solutions to meet performance, power, and area optimization targets.</li><li>Conduct detailed feasibility studies and tradeoff analyses to define CPU requirements and content, including new instructions to support emerging use cases.</li><li>Model CPU performance and power, analyze bottlenecks, and propose architectural improvements based on future workload predictions.</li><li>Develop test plans, testing infrastructure, and simulations for new features, using advanced statistical methods to analyze results and benchmark CPU performance.</li><li>Collaborate across architecture, design, verification, and validation teams to ensure seamless execution of CPU projects and deliver optimized solutions.</li><li>Influence cross-functional roadmaps and define technology targets that align with Intels future CPU strategies.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><h2><b>Qualifications:</b></h2><p>Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.</p><p></p><p><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 4+ years of hands-on experience in CPU architecture, or Masters degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or PhD with 1+ years of relevant experience.</li><li>4+ years experience in architecture definition, modeling, and / or CPU architecture fundamentals.</li><li>4+ years experience in SoC architecture and development methodologies.</li></ul><p><br /><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>8+ years of experience with advanced CPU technology.</li><li>Strong understanding/experience working on Fabric/Interconnect, PCIe/CXL, Coherency protocols, Core/ISA or accelerators</li><li>Knowledge of performance and power modeling, bottleneck analysis, and optimization for CPU workloads.</li><li>Experience with instruction set architecture (ISA) development and implementation.</li><li>Familiarity with industry trends and the ability to align technical vision with market demands to maintain leadership in CPU performance, power optimization, and scalability.</li></ul><p><br /><br />We invite you to bring your expertise, creativity, and enthusiasm to Intel as we continue to redefine the future of computing.
