Our luxury hotel features 16 floors with 264 rooms including 28 suites, over 20,000 square feet of meeting space and can accommodate business travelers, families on vacation and everyone in-between.<br><br>Redefining "live, work, play," we are a proud "play, work, stay" destination and seek to provide an unforgettable experience enhanced by our hotel's elevated pool deck in addition to our Lobby Bar and hotel restaurant.<br><br><strong>Director of Loss Prevention<br><br></strong><strong>Overview<br><br></strong>Omni Hotel & Resorts is seeking an experienced Director of Loss Prevention to join our team. This team member be responsible for the daily operations of the Loss Prevention Department including the directing and overseeing of the day to day functions of protection of hotel guests, associates, and property.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Monitors & drives appropriate compliance levels of all Omni Hotels & Resorts’ Life Safety Programs, training, and SOP directives.</li><li>Responsible for planning, evaluating, organizing, recruitment, training, and directing the activities of the Loss Prevention Agents, Supervisor, and Manager.</li><li>Reviews all reports completed by Loss Prevention Agents to ensure accuracy and timely submission.</li><li>Reports all observed hotel property deficiencies and safety hazards.</li><li>Ensures thorough and complete investigation for all incidents incurred by guests and associates (i.e. losses, thefts, accidents).</li><li>Maintains surveillance procedures through-out the property.</li><li>Ensures that all phases of the key control program are maintained, and any discrepancies noted are investigated thoroughly and reported to the Director of Rooms.</li><li>Monitors all traffic in the lobby, restaurant, restrooms, parking area, bars, and back of the house area.</li><li>Ensures that all hotel service levels are maintained, and aids when necessary.</li><li>Acts as the hotel representative when resolving guest problems and concerns. Ensures that all details of guest situations are documented and communicated to appropriate department personnel.</li><li>When necessary is responsible for administering corrective action with associates.</li><li>Ensures follow-up communication and appropriate documentation with necessary departments to ensure hotel property deficiencies and safety hazards are resolved.</li><li>Ensures that all Security equipment (uniforms, push to talk radios, cameras) are kept in good working condition.</li><li>Set priorities for the loss prevention team and provide feedback to others that enhances performance.</li><li>Conduct a monthly department meeting.</li><li>Periodically inspects exterior of building.</li><li>Maintains a continual line of communication with the Executive Committee.</li><li>Conduct Annual and New Hire OSHA Training.</li><li>Conduct a monthly Safety Committee meeting and follow-up on any issues.</li><li>Coordinates associate locker inspections and bag checks.</li><li>Monitors First Aid Kits throughout the Hotel.</li><li>Completes Moments of Service Checklists monthly.</li><li>Distribute Daily Hotel Incident/Accident Log to EC Committee.</li><li>Conduct a semi-annual hotel fire drill.</li><li>Ensures monthly Fire extinguisher inspections.</li><li>Ongoing Security department training.</li><li>Understanding of all emergency procedures.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Position requires a minimum of four years Loss Prevention/Security Management experience in a hotel or related industry. Director level experience, preferred.</li><li>College degree preferred.</li><li>Candidate must have proven leadership skills and must be able to delegate, effectively train, develop and motivate staff.</li><li>Must be First Aid and CPR certified and/or willingness to receive such training.</li><li>Must be conversant with OSHA guidelines and workplace safety standards. Experience preventing loss, incident reporting and interacting with high profile clientele.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to complete incident reports and participate in investigations. </li><li>Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers. This includes via email, telephone, and two-way radio.</li><li>Ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.</li><li>Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Excellent customer service, service recovery and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.</li><li>Must be able to reach various areas of the hotel at a rapid pace if necessary.</li><li>Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive matters. </li><li>Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.</li><li>Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.</li><li>Must be able to work indoors/outdoors in extreme temperatures assisting with supervision of pool activity as assigned. <br><br></li></ul>Omni Hotels & Resorts Is An Equal Opportunity/AA/Disability/Veteran Employer.
