The Executive Vice President, Engineering for Space, Defense, & National Security is responsible for leading and scaling the engineering organization to deliver high-quality, reliable products aligned with business goals and growth priorities. The position reports to the President, Space, Defense & National Security and is based in the Long Beach, CA OR Denver Metro Area, CO area. This role is onsite. In This Role, The Essential Functions Are <ul><li>Set and drive the strategic vision, technical direction, and organizational roadmap for the engineering function, aligning with overall business objectives and growth plans.</li><li>Lead, scale, and develop a high-performing engineering organization, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and organizational design.</li><li>Own management of teams working on end-to-end product lifecycle from concept through development, testing, certification, delivery, and post-deployment support.</li><li>Establish and enforce engineering excellence across system design, development processes, quality standards, and operational execution.</li><li>Oversee product architecture and ensure scalability, reliability, and long-term sustainability of all systems and products.</li><li>Define and manage technical roadmaps, ensuring alignment with company priorities, customer needs, and market opportunities.</li><li>Partner with executive leadership to support strategic initiatives, business development efforts, and major program pursuits.</li><li>Ensure strong cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, finance, and business teams to drive execution and alignment.</li><li>Drive proactive risk management across programs, identifying and mitigating technical, schedule, and cost risks.</li><li>Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, transparency, and continuous improvement across the engineering organization throughout various locations. </li></ul>If your experience aligns with our basic qualifications and you are inspired by our mission, we’d like to connect.
