Healthcare Revenue Cycle Representative - Remote

The Revenue Cycle Representative is responsible for denials management and payment accuracy verification for assigned wound care centers. At RestorixHealth, we grow talent. Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate expertise in the billing / collection requirements of all third-party payers, including government regulations and procedures.
  • Perform insurance / billing clerical duties, including review and verification of patient account information against insurance program specifications.
  • Follow up on balances due from insurance companies. Appeal, rebill and inquire continuously until paid / resolved.
  • Obtain the necessary information to successfully respond to insurance claim denials.
  • Enter data and notes into hospital billing system to process charges, payments, denials and adjustments.
  • Act as a liaison between Hospital Billing Department and Company.
  • Have complete understanding of wound care aging accounts reporting.
  • Enter payment information in RestorixHealth (RXH) accounting system for invoicing.
  • Update RXH systems with follow up notes on a weekly / current basis.
  • Assume responsibility for all accounts within facility.
  • Maintain required records, reports and files.
  • Update Revenue Cycle Manager on all outstanding issues.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all patient, hospital and / or physician related information.
  • Assist Revenue Cycle Manager with new center implementation and support Front Desk Coordinator as needed.
  • Perform duties as directed by Revenue Cycle Manager and other unit related duties as assigned.
  • Travel to hospital accounts as required, i.e., to obtain needed medical records or attend meetings, etc.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent with at least two years experience as a Medical Biller in a medical facility, agency or office.
  • Excellent communications and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 & CPT-4 coding.
  • Two years of experience in medical billing and insurance claim filing.
  • Must have intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must have experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) system.
